I started with Pirates of the Carribian: On Stranger Tides. To be honest, I wasn’t too enthutiastic watching this one; thinking not going to actually. However, let’s just say, I was trapped in the group of Capt. Jack Sparrow’s fans, then what could i do ? :p
My verdict: 7
In the following week, Thor was definitely a go that turned out to be a nice one! The lesson from the movie –besides action and technology– was something about being man of worthiness. You might have a power and ability to do everything. But when they all were taken from you, are you worthy enough to have them back?
My verdict: 9
How about Kungfu Panda 2 ? Well.. This one.. I would say.. Just standard? Yes it wasn’t too that bad.. But since my expectation was too high for this movie, then I felt just OW.. IS THAT IT? The original was better and even funnier.
My verdict: 7
And the one and only I’ve been waiting for.. X-Men: First Class!! I roughly knew what the movie would be. But still..I was very impressed!!! For X-Men freak, this is a must-watch movie! Verdict: 9.7
The next one was Green Lantern! Not bad, though. Again, what makes the movie’s good, it’s not only about action. The message was that whatsoever you’re being choose for/from, they might something good comes for/from it. Green is not bad, anyway :p
My verdict: 8.5
Transformers: Dark of The Moon. The story wasn’t too good, but the action was superb – you must be agree with me for this. Great Spielberg, how could he make that robot-to-car-back-to-robot transformation? Genius!! And honestly, the last 30mins was the best part that I was out of breath. I’m sure if they make the next Transformers movie, everybody will watch it.
My verdict: 9.5
Who doesn’t know Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 ? Well well well.. Yes!! This is what everyone has been waiting for! For Harry’s fans, I’m sure, you remember the story very well. And as for the movie, for me, I was quite disappointed though, you know why anyway. It didn’t go along with the book, that’s first. Second, yes, the graphic was fabulous, but the last-ending part was not triumph–not as what written in the book– and this is the most upset part for me. I could feel the thrills when I read the book, but not when watched the movie. In short, is it worth to watch? Still, I think you need to watch it as no one would NOT watch it regardless they read the book or not.
My verdict: 9
Last but least is Captain America. First of all, I think, the producer was exaggerating in terms of the physical appearance of Roger before he was transformed – you know it when you see it. It’s a way unbalanced and too pitiful! About the storyline itself, well in short, I didn’t see how Red Skull is ‘useful’. The heroic action was too heroic –yes, trust me– that you will guess it should not that perfect. There is nothing quite special about this movie, I guess, just a fact that it ends my forever-summer movies spree in Singapore, and waiting the last part of the movie to see the rest of the Avengers!
My verdict: 9
A bonus movie: the Rise of The Planet of the Apes. I like this one, worth to watch. The emotion and empathy were there. Action so thrilled, the story was very nice. After watching the movie, you will think twice before you’re thinking to change natures. I am sure we will wait for the sequel.
My verdict: 9.5
