1330-1415, the last quiz of this semester, and i do hope for the last of my study :p
truly, this subject (Advanced Digital Image Processing) is not my field, not even a single bit of it. frankly speaking, i was the victim of what-so-called ‘good education policy’ *bleagh*.
i need to take this subject because (1) this is an advanced topic for postgraduate research students. (2) this was the only intresting subjects opened this semester. (3) otherwise i need to postpone another semester starting my research, and not mentioning i must ‘fight’ alone for another strange subjects.
well, since the policy is the rule, what can we (or i) do ?
i must admit, however, i quite enjoy learning and doing the matlab part (to emphasize, but not the lab-quiz part :p ). so how i know there’s such thing as powerful programing tools for computation, images in this case, and how good the programmer could go (if they have passion on it, of course :p)
so here was the quiz. as i had guessed (and planned), i smoked the answer sheet with ‘smokes’ *haha*. i knew that i will die in this quiz since the first day of the lecture, so i did not expect much of this 15% weight. i just hope the rest of my 65% went well (since two of the 10% parts wasn’t well enough..) *sigh..*
finished with the quiz, i felt so ‘empty’ *haha*
other students discussed the materials with smile and energetic expression on their face. i just couldn’t wait to vanish, just to avoid they asked my opinion about the quiz *huahua*

Hai invited us (my supervisor’s group) to his house for celebrating his one-month-old newborn baby. i wasn’t sure going there, but then i decided to go. hamid didnt make it because of his bad cough and sore-throat, farzaneh canceled, bryan had some problem (fever, if i wasn’t miskaten), so just me and prakash gathered there.
we were the first group arriving there, followed by ivm and his family, and that’s it! quite small group (i noticed 2 other guys also couldn’t make it). but the show must go on ![]()
the food – yes.. the best part.. *haha* – was so excellent. i forgot to take picture of those *sigh*. it was chicken springroll, some kind of chicken nuggets, fried and rolled with seaweed, mini chicken sausages, chicken curry dipped with french bread, and the winner of tonite’s supper: a kind of veggies (dunno the name) rolled with steamed pork belly. soooo lovelyyy !!

8 nov 2009,
sunday already.. time flies fast, yes it is !
hmm.. facing another NEW week, literaly.. yes, and implicitly a real week to think about my research. two of my predecessors (i mentioned above) have had good performance so far. one of them got the best conference paper while another one submitted 3 conference papers already. and the next person to achieve that.. guess what?? yes.. it’s me.. *huahh.. matek kon..*
well, honestly until now, i dont know if i could get into that stage. i know my self, i know my ability, and i know what i’m capable of doing. right now, just have 3 things i can think of for achieving those,
(a) trust HIM – as i believe He will guide me as He has done so far. not spectaculer, but with His sufficient yet abundant grace on me-
(b) trust ivm – as i’m sure he wont do any bad to me, the only trustworthy person i know so far in ntu -
and (c) work hard – since this part is my part *ehem*.. i must be very cautious *hihi*
happy sunday, folks ![]()

ps.
this morning, i learned something valuable from my houseparents.
i dont know why, but it seemed that celes was punished *haha*. well, what do you expect from 2.5 years old girl?? her ‘curiousity’ and ‘naughtyness’ is part of her life’s lesson, right?
anyhow.. went i went down upstairs, i saw her being ‘forced’ to stand up on her cute tiny chair *haha*. i was shocked for like 3-5 seconds, but then i saw her parents’ face expression and i know it was just a ‘valuable’ lesson for her.
celes’ face, so cute.. :p i dont know the word in english, but she showed mewek (indonesian) face *hihi*.. truly, her cheek, her eyes, everything *lol* and i could hear her parents scolded and yelled at her like,“promise not to be naughty again?”, “you must stand there until the time shows 1100″, “eits.. eits.. dont cry again!!”, etc etc *haha*
but what i like is, when they finished with the punishment (not so long, around 5-10mins max), they hugged her back and soothed her with nice words *hihi* good ‘tactic’, and i like it !!
and not so long after that, i could play again with her *lohhh..*
haha.. yes.. she’s turning back to normal again.. and we played cilukbaa..
